IGT Becomes First Supplier To Receive G4 Accreditation
International casino gaming provider IGT has now announced that it has been awarded an accreditation for responsible gaming, both for its land-based casino gaming and lottery divisions. The accreditation was awarded by the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4), and has seen IGT become the first-ever gaming supplier to achieve such endorsement.
In order to obtain the aforementioned certification, IGT was independently assessed by G4 according to several requirements. These included responsible gaming information screens, gambling session limits, and in-game reality and time checks, as well as overall back office systems.
G4 is a group of global experts in the fields of responsible gaming and problem gambling, and is comprised of members from across the globe. The organisation aims to minimise the negative effects of problem gambling on players, which it does by promoting its accreditation programme that suppliers and operators in the industry can apply for.
IGT Dedicated To Problem Gambling Solutions
In a recent statement, IGT CEO of North American Gaming and Interactive, Renato Ascoli, noted that IGT regularly pairs with gaming operators around the world to create innovative services and technology. It is the firm’s responsibility, said Ascoli, to develop solutions that help its casino clients protect their players from the effects of gambling addiction.
The CEO continued, saying that his company prides itself on being an ‘industry pioneer’, and that the certification from G4 will allow IGT to transparently convey its leadership when it comes to the essential topic of problem gambling control.
G4 Congratulates IGT On Industry-First Award
Member of G4’s Board of Directors, Pieter Remmers, also noted that IGT has successfully demonstrated its commitment to promoting responsible gambling by adding effective measures into its products that will help operators to minimise dangers and prevent problem gambling issues.
Remmers continued, noting that G4 commends IGT for its leadership in the matter. The organisation also went on to congratulate the supplier for being the very first gambling vendor to achieve this accreditation for both its land-based gaming and lottery divisions.
IGT supplies innovative gaming solutions across both land-based and online channels, as well as a variety of popular lottery products. With headquarters in Rome, Italy, and an emphasis on entertainment and global responsibility, International Game Technology has grown to become one of the world’s leading providers of casino gaming solutions.
